I am a painter: Egg tempera pastel(oil and Dry),casein ,acrylic ,pretty much all media. I am just returning full time after raising my children.(they are my inspiration ) I love to poke around the web - finding and posting things(mostly art) I very much appreciate art with a political theme . Maybe I will post my art - who knows. If you like some of the things I find,good....enjoy. I am curious about everything . ..pretty much.:)

There is an article in the New York Times about the McKibben Lofts in Bushwick or "East Williamsburg" that is pretty funny. This is an area of New York City that is getting more condensed poverty because of the neo-liberal reforms. To add to this situation, these wide eyed "artists" think they are "helping" the community by talking about starting art programs. You know what? Poor people living in projects not want your art. You know what they want? Food, security, some money and for your stupid band to stop playing. And for the record, patronizing local businesses DOES NOT somehow counteract gentrification. ....
